Psycho-Oncology Counselling
What is Psycho-Oncological Counselling?

Psycho-oncology is a specialized field that addresses the psychological, emotional, and social challenges faced by cancer patients and their families. The focus is on the well-being of the patient on all levels – emotional, mental, and social. The goal is to support the patient at every stage of their illness and help them cope better with the disease. Various methods are used, tailored individually to meet the client's needs.

Why is Emotional Support Important During Cancer Treatment?

Emotional support is not only advisable but essential during a cancer diagnosis. Family members are often under significant stress and can benefit from professional help as well. I use different "tools" to accompany my clients on their journey. Even during the phase of a suspected diagnosis, a conversation can have a profound impact. It is completely normal to feel fear, but we can choose not to let that fear control us.
