Death Doula Services
"The moment you start to feel that you have a connection to the universe is when you begin to embrace your spiritual journey. Life and death are just moments in time, eternal in the grand scheme of things."— Unknown
What is the role of a Death Doula or End of Life Doula?

In the final months to weeks, the doula spends time with the dying individual and their family members.

The doula provides explanations and information about the dying process and the available options. Conversations are conducted in depth to gain a clear understanding of what is most important to the individual who is dying.

How does the individual wish to experience their death? Surrounded by all who love them, or only in the presence of close family members? Who should not be present?

Is a hospice setting the most appropriate, or would it be preferable to remain at home or in a hospital?

Since 2022, I have been working as a trained “Death Doula.” The term “Doula” originally comes from Greek and means “servant of birth.” However, over the past 20 years, the term has also been used to describe people who accompany dying individuals with empathy and spirituality on their final journey.

It is a deep honour and privilege for me to support the dying and their loved ones during this very personal and emotionally challenging time. My role is to provide warmth, empathy, and support, helping them transition in a peaceful and dignified manner.
The role of a Death Doula is especially valuable for those who do not have family or close friends.
