This role is not medical or clinical, but deeply human: it centres on emotional support, spiritual guidance and the power of simply being there with care and respect. <\/p>\n\n<p>Even shortly following the diagnosis of a terminal illness, the presence of a Death Doula can bring a sense of peace \u2014 for both the individual and their loved ones. These conversations gently open space for what is essential: What truly matters now? Who should walk alongside during this sacred time \u2014 and who, perhaps, should not? Is the soul drawn to the quiet of a hospice, or to the familiar embrace of home?    <\/p>\n\n<p>I share valuable information about the dying process, help sort out open questions, and support personal decisions. The aim is to consciously shape the farewell \u2013 in accordance with the wishes of the dying person. <\/p>\n\n<p>Since 2022, I have been a certified Death Doula. The training goes beyond traditional end-of-life support and includes psychological, spiritual, and practical aspects. The term &#8220;Doula&#8221; comes from Greek and means &#8220;female servant&#8221;. While a Doula supports the birthing process, a Death Doula stands by the person in their final phase of life \u2013 quietly, present, supportive.   <\/p>\n\n<p>This support is particularly valuable for people who do not have close family or friends\u2013 but also for families who desire guidance and support during an emotionally challenging time.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-1cd5e0f8 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"1cd5e0f8\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>\nNote: Support as a Death Doula does not replace medical, palliative, or psychotherapeutic care.
